Mike Saboe is our Middle School History and Social Studies teacher and holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has taught Outdoor Adult Education for Blue Ridge Middle School and has been a Summer Camp Fishing Instructor. Mr. Saboe said, “I am very proud of my term of service as a backcountry crew leader in the Greater Yellowstone Region, working closely with the National Park Service and Forest Service.” Mr. Saboe is from Centreville, Virginia, and enjoys wildlife photography, camping, and being with his family, who lives in Virginia and Maryland. He also has a brother in Arizona. When asked why he became a teacher, he replied, “My passion for history is my primary reason for becoming an educator. My favorite part of the day is my morning cup of coffee, followed by greeting my first students to arrive. I believe each student has an enormous potential to impact the world positively, and I am grateful for the opportunity to prepare them for the future.” If parents have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me directly.”
